Today we took Zachary’s mom to the airport in Charleston. After the airport goodbyes, we were starved, as usual, so we headed for lunch on our way home. The Indian restaurant, Little India, presented itself, and in we went!
We had a satisfactory meal, despite it being an all-you-can-eat buffet! I had tandoori chicken with a tamarind chutney which was delicious. Of course nan came with the meal, but sitting out on the buffet did it no favors. The zucchini was unremarkable. Zachary pronounced his meal delicious and promptly went back for seconds!
On the way to the bike shop we passed this porn shop that offers to purchase used x-rated magazines……..
Next stop was the Charleston Bicycle Shop.
This is the quintessential bike shop. Full stock overflowing with bike STUFF to make a cyclist salivate; and a staff that is willing to talk and enroll you in whatever biking subject you’re down for. Zachary got a lesson from Jared Hitchcock, the owner, on gear ratios. I meant this is great! To find staff that will take the time to teach. Being generous with your time and knowledge will enroll you to come back and buy more STUFF!
I also dropped off rack cards for the Wheels of Hope bike ride that my bike club sponsors each year. We have a charity ride that supports local cancer survivors and our local Hospice.
We headed home to get ready for a dinner at the General Lewis Inn. My niece, Zachary’s cousin, Sparrow and her husband Aaron own the Inn. Tonight they have invited us to review the new dinner menu. I am Stoked! Sparrow is a wonderful chef with great values not only in taste, but in sustainability, history, and beauty. I will let you know about dinner as soon as I have digested it and the fun that it will be!
